Sustaining Value in an Equine Vet Practice – Equine Vet Business Podcast #9

I am looking forward to next week where I will be presenting with Dr. Andy Clark, the CEO of Hagyard Equine Medical Center,  at the Equine Business Management Strategies International program in England. I have seen Andy present on the subject of “Sustaining Value in an Equine Veterinary Practice” before, and it his ideas have been instrumental in helping me develop our group of vet practices. Andy is a great story teller so I asked him if we could have a conversation on the subject, as well as discuss the challenges and opportunities in equine vet practice. He has his fingers on the pulse of practices throughout North America allowing him a unique insight into our industry. For those of you who can’t make it to the UK, he will be presenting at the stateside version of the EBMS program in Wisconsin, September 11-15. I cannot recommend this program high enough. I have attended all 5 of the US versions as well as the inaugural international  program last year. They should be required for anyone interested in equine veterinary practice management. Both the American and International versions are the brainchild of Dr. Robert Magnus, who we have featured in an earlier podcast. You can get more information on the programs here. For more of Andy, you can check out his blog on equine veterinary practice management.

Before I forget, I will be presenting on social media for equine veterinarians. I have been enjoying researching the European perspective on the subject. I will be posting updates throughout the conference  next week  so stay tuned here, my Facebook Page or  on Twitter. You can access them by clicking on one of the icons to the right.
